Ultrasound is used to increase range of motion, aid in tissue healing/repair, decrease pain and treat muscle spasms.

How Ultrasound works:
The ultrasound waves pass through tissue and get absorbed. This absorption causes friction, thus heating up the surrounding tissues. The increase in tissue temperature increases blood flow, makes tissues more pliable and reduces pain.
