The treadmill chamber is constructed from surgical stainless steel and encompassed on each side with tempered glass. There are doors located at each end of the chamber and can be reversed in the field if needed. The chamber houses a treadmill unit which utilizes a powerful motor capable of speeds in excess of 10 mph. On each side of the treadmill belt are two non-slip tread plates allowing the therapist to stand inside the chamber and assist the patient during the session. The treadmill unit is supported by gas struts that allow a single person to easily lift the unit into a vertical position, thus enabling full access to the whole chamber for easy cleaning.
